NET answer keys
The test is divided into three Papers: The first paper tests the teaching and researching abilities of the candidate. With total 100 marks Minimum passing percentage to clear paper 1 is 40per cent (40 marks). The second paper is based on the individual chosen subject and is of total 100 marks with minimum passing percentage for clearing paper 2 as 40per cent (40 marks), The third and last paper is again based on the individual subject however it goes more into the depth of the subject with total 150 marks and minimum passing percentage as 50per cent (75 marks).

NET is very important to maintain the standards of education at the University/Institute levels. Lecturers are the last teachers in the academic lives of students. Basic eligibility to appear for the NET exam is a Masters degree in Arts OR Sciences by a UGC recognized University/Institute with a minimum 55per cent aggregate percentage (50per cent in the case of SC/ST).
